Male (holotype)

MEASUREMENTS (mm.): Body length 3.55: carapace length 1.66, width 1.25: abdomen length 1.83, width 1.05: sternum length 0.86, w idth 0.86: labium length 0.14, width 0.25: endite length 0.33, width 0.25: cheliceral length 0.50, width 0.30: cephalic width 0.55; anterior eye row 0.33: posterior eye row 0.42.

Leg I 4.76 (1.25, 0.66, 1.11, 0.89, 0.86), II 4.29 (1.22, 0.58, 0.91, 0.83, 0.75), III 3.93 (0.91, 0.50, 0.78, 0.97, 0.78), 5.65 (1.33, 0.66, 1.25, 1.52, 0.89).

Palp 1.74 (0.55, 0.28, 0.30, 0.61).

Description: Carapace pale brown, oval, longer th an wide in the index 75, narrow in front. Cephalic width index 44. M edian furrow dark brown needle shaped; cervical grooves and radial furrows visible; distinct submarginal lateral stripe present.

The anterior eye row narrower th an the posterior, in the ratio 4: 5, straight from above, posterior eve row procurved. ALE larger than other. Order of eye in diam eter ALE)PLE = PME) ALE(7: 6= 6: 4). M edian ocular area narrower in front th an behind (5: 8). Clypeus as high as the diam eter AME. Chelicerae yellowish brown, with three teeth on promargin of fang furrow, two teeth on retromargin. Labium wider th an long (25: 14), not reaching th e middle of endite. Sternum pale brown, with black brown hairs sparsely, shield shaped convex, as long as wide, truncate in front.

Legs yellowish brown, with darker annulations, especially basal segment and distal end. Tibia T and |] and m etatarsi I and II each with 2-2 ventral spines, patella IV with a weak retrolateral spine. Leg formula 4 • 1 • 2 • 3. Leg formular index 100: 90: 83: 119.

Abdomen elongate ovoid, m ottled with greyish brow, dull yellow, thickly covered with dark brown hairs and several pale brown chevrons posteriorly.

Palp longer than the length of carapace, order of the length of segment: Tar.)Fem.) Tib.) Pat. Tibia of palpus with a broad retrolateral apophysis, the distal end are bifurcated sharply. Embolus of palp slender and curved toward tip. Tegulum convex, w ith hooklike apophysis.

Female (allotype)

MEASUREMENTS (mm.) Body length 4.46: carapace length 1.88, width 1.44: abdomen length 2.58, width 1,44; sternum length 1.05, width 0.94: labium length 0.22, width 0.28: endite length 0.50, width 0.38: cheliceral length 0.75, width 0.36: cephalic width 0.78: anterior eye row 0.42; posterior eye row 0.53.

Leg I 4.66 (1.33, 0.75, 1.08, 0.83, 0.67), H 4.51 (1.27, 0.64, 0.97, 0.88, 0.75), III 4.43 (1.19, 0.61, 0.83, 1.11, 0.69), W 6.12 (1.58, 0.64, 1.38, 1.69, 0.83).

Palp 1.91(0.64, 0.33, 0.33, 0.61).

Description: Essentially similar to male in shape and color. Carapace index 77, cephalic w idth index 54. Eye row ratio 15: 19, order of eye in diam eter ALE)PLE = PME) AME (8: 7= 7: 5). Labium slightly wider than long (5: 4). Sternum longer th an wide (19:17).

Leg formular index 100: 97: 95: 131.

Epigynum w ith two copulatory opening forward and two pairs of excurved tubules are visible. Spermathecae each of two parts, with long, sinuous ducted anterior part extending posterolateral and thick, bulbed posterior p a rt touched together.

Specimen examined. Holotype; male, 19- X - 1987. A ginseng plantation in Hanchon village of Komsung-ri, K oesan-up, Koesan -gun , Chungchongbuk-do, Korea. M. S. Im Leg . Allotype: female, same data as holotype . Paratype; female, 20- IX- 1974, Mt. Choryong, Younpungmyon, Koesan-gun , Chungchongbuk-do, J. Namkung ,

Etymology: The specific name is derived from “ Korea ”.

Remarks: The present species is similar to Agroeca montana Hayashi, 1986 . However, it is distinctly different from the latter, with its bifurcated distal end of the tibial retrolateral apophysis of male palp, consisting of the sperm athecae with two p arts of female genitalia, and leg formula 4 • 1 • 2 • 3.
