Geographical distribution. Mexico (Sinaloa, Jalisco, Sonora), Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia (Meta), Venezuela, Brazil (Rondônia, Goiás, Piauí, Bahia, Minas Gerais, São Paulo), Bolivia (Santa Cruz), Paraguay. New state records from Pará, Mato Grosso, and Mato Grosso do Sul ( Brazil) are added.

Type material examined. Holotype male of Eburodacrys curialis Gounelle, 1909 ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 14 – 23. 14 – 20 —MNHN), Holotype male of Eburodacrys hesperidis Chemsak & Linsley, 1970 ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 14 – 23. 14 – 20 —CASC), and Eburodacrys nemorivaga Gounelle, 1909 ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 14 – 23. 14 – 20 —MNHN).

Specimens examined. COLOMBIA, Meta: Remolinos ( Centro Cafam Llanos , 55 km de Puerto Gaitán , 165 m, 4°27’N, 72°54’W), male, 11-15.III.2013, J. Gutierrez leg. ( MPUJ); female, no date indicated, L. Nova leg. ( MPUJ) GoogleMaps . VENEZUELA, Maracay , female, V.1977, no collector indicated ( MZSP) . BRASIL, Pará: Afuá (Ilha do Pará, Igarape Juntinta ), male and female, XI.1995, Magno & C. Alvarenga leg. ( MNRJ) ; Mato Grosso: Sinop (12°31’S 5°37’W, BR 163 Km 500 a 600), 2 males, X.1976, Roppa & Alvarenga leg. ( MNRJ); Vera (12°56’S 5°36’W), female, X.1973, Alvarenga & Roppa leg. Remarks. Eburodacrys nemorivaga and E. curialis were described by Gounelle (1909) in the same paper. According to the author, E. nemorivaga is easily differentiated from the other species (with three callosities) by the number, form, and disposition of the black areas on the pronotum and elytra and E. curialis is differentiated by the posterior eburneous callosities nearly absent. Both species were described from Brazil (Goiás: Jataí). Martins (1999), in his revision of the South American Eburiini , commented on a possible synonymy of these species, asserting that the differences between them may represent intraspecific variability. The study of the material examined, the comparison of the original descriptions and photos of the holotypes of each name confirm the variability of the characters and support the synonymy of E. nemorivaga with E. curialis .

As E. nemorivaga View in CoL and E. curialis View in CoL were described in the same work ( Gounelle, 1909) and in this case the Principle of Priority does not apply, I, as First Reviser, select the name Eburodacrys nemorivaga Gounelle, 1909 View in CoL as the valid name because it is a name with more citations and with widest geographical distribution.

Eburodacrys hesperidis View in CoL was described by Chemsak & Linsley (1970) from Mexico and compared with E. sticticollis View in CoL , a Central American species, but not compared with any South American species. The study of a photograph of the holotype, the original description and the material studied allow me propose the new synonymy between Eburodacrys hesperidis Chemsak & Linsley, 1970 View in CoL and Eburodacrys nemorivaga Gounelle, 1909 View in CoL .
