Distribution: India: Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Elsewhere: Malagasy, Indonesia, Philippines, China.
Remarks: C. Mitratus resembles that of Conus cylindraceus in size and shape. It can be distinguished by its less glossy and less smooth last whorl with granulose spiral ribs or spiral rows of granules and the stronger spiral ribs on its sutural ramps.
