The species has been reported from Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina ( Metcalf 1963b; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2007a). The only location in Colombia identified in the literature where specimens were collected is Pasto ( Jacobi 1907).
