Subgenus Deharvengiella Zacharda, 1987: 2051

New diagnosis of the subgenus Deharvengiella

Dorsal surface of chelicera with slight saddle-shaped depression at level of bases of digits; cheliceral digits long, slender, no distinct prebasal lobe on fixed digit. Chelicera with two setae inserted dorsally; proximal seta inserted above articulation of movable digit; tip of proximal seta usually does not reach insertion of distal seta; tip of distal seta slightly overlaps apex of fixed digit. Assemblages of four and three elongated and attenuated rhagidial solenidia, i.e. the troglomorphic rhagidial organs I and II, are in dorsodistal position on tarsi I and II, respectively. Elongated and attenuated troglomorphic spiniform solenidia resembling smaller rhagidial solenidia on tibiae and genua also may be present.

Remarks

The Deharvengiella species are morphologically adapted to life in subterranean habitats and these adaptations set the Deharvengiella species apart from the epigean

species of the genus Rhagidia . However, such a subgeneric concept may be based on independent convergence.
