D i s c u s s i o n: Due to the conflict in the definition of the genus Anomozamites, Pott and McLoughlin (2009) emended this genus, and chose A. nilssonii as a type of the genus. The genus Anomozamites has leaflets at most two times longer than wide contrary to the genus Pterophyllum BRONGNIART. Genus Anomozamites has veins numerous and parallel, simple or once dichotomously branched, ending in the apex ( Pott and McLoughlin 2009).
