Positive for esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase and nitrate reduction in API 20NE, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, glucose fermentation, gelatinase, indole production and urease. L-Arabinose, D-glucose, D-maltose, D-mannose are utilized. Does not utilize N -acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, capric acid, malic acid, D-mannitol, phenylacetic acid, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate.
