Description of Sanguibacter suarezii IMCC View in CoL 25604

Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, raised, entire and yellow colored after 10 days on 1/10 MA at 20° C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and β -galactosidase in API 20NE, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease. Utilize L-arabinose, D-glucose, D-maltose and D-mannose, but not utilize N -acetyl-glucosamine, adipic acid, capric acid, malic acid, D-mannitol, phenylacetic acid, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate. Strain IMCC25604 View Materials (= NIBRBAC000497994) has been isolated from a fresh water sample, Chuncheon , Gangwon Province, Korea.
