Only one species is known in the genus, A. fasciapennis (Franklin) . This is an obligate predator of scale insects ( Palmer & Mound 1990), and is recorded from many plants throughout the tropics and subtropics ( Okajima 2006). The species is reported from Iran on the basis of one male collected on grape ( Mirab-balou & Chen 2012).

Material studied. Australia, 2 females, N Territory, Darwin, Holmes Jungle, 25.ix.2009 (LAM 5270) (in PPDSU).
