Gnathosoma 22 (21–23), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal setae (ep) 2 (2–3), dorsal pedipalp genual setae (d) 6 (5–6), chelicerae 21 (21–22), oral stylets 20 (20–21). Prodorsal shield 52 (52–53), 79 (77– 80) wide; subtriangular; frontal lobe present; median line present 1/3 at base, admedian and submedian lines connected at basal 2/3, admedian lines concaved at center, submedian lines sinuous. Dorsal tubercles near rear margin, 29 (28–30) apart, scapular setae (sc) 7 (7–8) projecting posteriorly. Coxal area with granules; anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 9 (8–10), proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 17 (16–18), proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 40 (38–43). Prosternal apodeme present. Legs with usual series of setae. Legs І 35 (33–37), femur 11 (10–11), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 11 (10–12); genu 5 (5–6), antaxial genual setae (l'') 24 (24–25); tibia 10 (9–10), paraxial tibial setae (l') 4 (3–4), setae located 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 5 (5–6); empodium simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Legs І 29 (27–31), femur 8 (8–9), basiventral femoral setae (bv) 10 (10–11); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual setae (l'') 8 (8–9); tibia 8 (7–8); tarsus 5 (5–6); empodium simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Opisthosoma: dorsal opisthosoma with 26 (24–29) annuli, with short-line microtubercles, ventrally with 70 (69–72) annuli, with round microtubercles. Setae c2 25 (23–26) on ventral annulus 11 (10–12); setae d 67 (65–69) on ventral annulus 26 (25–27), 31 (31–33) apart; setae e 18 (17–20) on ventral annulus 46 (45–47), 16 (16–17) apart; setae f 30 (28–31) on 5th ventral annulus from rear, 21 (20–22) apart. Female genitalia 16 (16–17), 25 (25–26) wide, coverflap with 10 to 12 longitudinal ridges and 9 to 10 irregular lines at base, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІІ (3a) 20 (19–22).

MALE: Unknown.

Types. Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Xi’an City, Cuihua Mountain, 34.98°N, 109.00°E. August 14, 2005, from Actinidia sp. Lindl. ( Actinidiaceae ), coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng and Song, Zi-Wei. Paratypes, 14 females, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation actinidiae is from the generic name of the host plant, Actinidia .

Remarks. This species is similar to Tetra lucidi Xue, Song & Hong, 2006 , but can be differentiated by coxal area with granules (coxal area smooth in T. lucidi ), dorsal annuli with short-line microtubercles (dorsal annuli smooth in T. lucidi ); submedian lines separated on prodorsal shield (submedian lines connected at base on prodorsal shield in T. lucidi ).
