Types. Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Yang County, Huayang, 33.58°N, 107.53°E. August 11, 2005, from Coriaria nepalensis Wall.  ( Coriariaceae  ), coll. Xue, Xiao-Feng and Song, Zi-Wei. Paratypes, 4 females and 2 males, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Etymology. The specific designation coriariae  is from the generic name of the host plant, Coriaria  .

Remarks. This species is similar to Tetra sinicae Li, Wei & Wang, 2006  , but can be differentiated by coxal area with granules (coxal area smooth in T. sinicae  ), dorsal annuli with faint microtubercles (dorsal annuli smooth in T. sinicae  ), female genital coverflap with 2 transverse lines at base (female genital coverflap smooth at base in T. sinicae  ).
