– Male: clypeus black, if yellow on lower portion (in E. angustipes ), then head wider than high; antenna short, reaching only scutellum or its posterior margin (except for E. dolus , the antenna of which longer); 2nd flagellomere at most 1.4 times as long as its diameter, membranous retrorse lobe of gonocoxite small and narrow, more or less parallel-sided or elongate triangular, about as long as gonostylus; gonostylus relatively small, rounded triangular or elongate elliptical in lateral view, with short bristles.
