Treatment

Munidopsis transtridens has been reported from the Gulf of Mexico from 1280 m ( Pequegnat & Pequegnat 1971). Four individuals were analyzed. One male (CW = 4.6 mm) and one ovigerous female (CW = 6.1 mm, 5 eggs, average egg size 1.63 mm) were collected in March, and two females were collected in August and December. All specimens were collected from the Gulf of Mexico in depths of 1280 to 1475 m.
