Taxonomic notes.
Freyhof and Özuluğ (2014) suspected that Aspius vorax ( Bostancı 2006: 84) originated from the stream Afrin (Orontes River); it might be A. thisbae . The material examined by Bostancı (2006) in FFR belongs to the species A. thisbeae .
