Philippines, Mindanao Island, village: San Antonio (09.064°N, 125.642°E), Mt. Hilong, 110 m, Rousettus amplexicaudatus ♀ (host # KUMNH-168427, NCA-264), 20 VI 2012, E. DiBlasi, 1♀ (parasite #: P-5383) (BYUC).

Remarks.

This species commonly occurs on pteropodid bats (fruit bats) but has also been documented on vespertilionid and rhinolophid bats in Asia. See additional discussion of Thaumapsylla longiforceps in the Philippines by Hastriter and Bush (2013).
