Glyptothorax housei Herre 1942 ZBK : 117, fig. 1. Type locality: Mountain stream rapids, Anamallai Hills, 4 mi. east of Valparai [Ponnani drainage], Pollachi dist., s. India. Holotype: SU 36531. Paratypes: FMNH 40899-901 (3), SU 36532 (orig. 50, now 51).

Distribution: Ponnani drainage, Western Ghats, peninsular India (Silas, 1951; Jayaram, 1999).
