Site of infection: Eustachian tube, tongue.

Recruitment: ingestion.

Distribution: Canada: Ontario ( Stafford 1900).

No specimens in collections.

Remarks: According with Stunkard (1973), H. ovocaudatus is distributed exclusively in Europe.
