Diagnosis. Antenna with 45–59 (females) or 38–45 antennomeres (males); apical antennomere acuminate ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–11 ; Fig. 43 in van Achterberg, 1989); eyes glabrous and distinctly emarginate; maxillary palp 6 segmented; labial palp 4-segmented; occipital carina nearly complete or interrupted medio-dorsally ( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1–11 , 13 View FIGURES 13–22 , 24 View FIGURES 24–32 ), in lateral view usually fused with hypostomal carina ( Figs 3 View FIGURES 1–11 , 15 View FIGURES 13–22 , 26 View FIGURES 24–32 ); vertex often aciculate medially; malar suture present ( Figs 2 View FIGURES 1–11 , 14 View FIGURES 13–22 , 25 View FIGURES 24–32 ).
