Acalypha inaequilatera Cardiel (1994: 203)

14. Acalypha inaequilatera Cardiel (1994: 203)   . Type: ― COLOMBIA. Boyacá: prope Muzo , without date, J. Goudot s.n. (holotype K 600653!, isotype P 635270!)   .

Distribution:— America. Western South America: Colombia.

References:— Cardiel (1995a: 40, 1995b: 183), Govaerts et al. (2000: 68), Murillo (2004: 187).

Notes:— This species is only known from the original Colombian collection by Justin Goudot, who collected in Colombia between 1822 and 1842 ( Cardiel 1995a: 10). The municipality of Muzo was overused for its emerald deposits and has been greatly deforested; thus, we do not rule out that the species could be extinct.
