Dr. Sanjeev Kumar &amp; Party (NZCZSI).</p><p>Diagnosis: The adult of C. devia (Fig. 1. A and B) resembles the comparatively larger species Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner, [1808]) . The specimen studied herein is typically characterized as described by Swinhoe [1885]. But it is overall paler, rather tinged with less ochreous and smaller (fore wing length 17 mm; wing expanse 38 mm) than the originally described specimen (wing expanse 45.72 mm).
