03D9B24C1568FFEBFF2CA2A1AEB6938E.taxon	description	Figure 1 Description. Male. Body medium. Head. Fastigium verticis conical, dorsal surface shallowly furrowed along the midline (Fig. 1 A). Eyes nearly globular, protruding outward. Apical segment of maxillary palp slightly longer than subapical one, apex inflated. Thorax. Pronotum short, anterior margin faintly projecting, posterior margin narrowly rounded, with weakly posterior transverse sulcus (Fig. 1 A); lateral lobes longer than high, narrowing to backward, anterior angle obtusely rounded, posterior margin oblique, without humeral sinus (Fig. 1 B). Tegmina and wings. Tegmina surpassing apex of abdomen and reaching the apical area of postfemur; hind wings shorter than tegmina. Legs. Procoxae with 1 small spine. All femora unarmed on ventral surfaces; apices of genicular lobes of postfemora obtuse. Protibiae ventrally with 3 – 4 internal and 5 external spines; tympana opened on both sides, oblong. Mesotibiae with 4 internal and 4 – 5 external spines on ventral surface. Posttibiae with 27 pairs of dorsal spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal spurs and 1 pair of ventral spurs. Abdomen. Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite semicircularly excavated, the lateral area obtuse with membranous area between them (Fig. 1 C). Basal third of cercus ventrally expanded with 1 roughly triangular lobe at tip (Fig. 1 D); apical half of cercus compressed and gradually incurved with two branches: the dorsal branch slightly shorter than ventral one with obtuse tip (Fig. 1 D), apical margin of ventral branch faintly bifurcated in ventral view (Fig. 1 I). Subgenital plate longer than wide, base broad, distinctly narrowing to apex, lateral margins rolled dorsally, posterior margin triangularly excavated in middle (Fig. 1 H). Styli slender, apices obtuse, located on both sides of apical area of subgenital plate (Fig. 1 H). Female. Unknown. Coloration. Body yellowish brown. Eyes black. Flagellum of antenna with black ring on each segment. Dorsal surface of head with four longitudinal black stripes: the internal two stripes fused in fastigium verticis, the external two extending to internal margins of antennal sockets. Pronotal disc with a pair of brown lateral stripes, between them brownish. Tegmina yellowish brown with scattered black cells. Protibiae and mesotibiae with brownish rings at apical areas, apical areas of postfemora black.	en	Zhang, Hui, Bian, Xun (2025): Description of a new species of Aphlugiolopsis (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Meconematinae) from southwestern China.
