Naiki BQ 0907244 (holotype HZU [HZU 60086148]! isotypes PE!, TI!). Woody perennial, deciduous. Rhizomes creeping; Stems erect, 8 – 30 cm long, densely branched, flexuous, ribbed, often scattered-prickly. Petioles 2 – 5 mm long, narrowly winged for ca. 2 / 3 its length, abscission zone just above winged portion; tendrils 0 – 2 mm long; leaf blade thick papery, green, whitish beneath, 3 - nerved, broadly ovate to orbicular, 1.2 – 2.4 (– 3.0) × 1.4 – 3.0 (– 3.5) cm, base rounded to suddenly contracted, apex rounded to retuse, mucronate. Umbels axillary, short-pedunculate, 1 – 2 flowered; flowers yellow-green, the staminate tepals elliptic obliquely spreading, recurved above, about 3 mm long, the inner whorl narrowly oblong; stamens 6, ca. 1 / 2 length of the tepals.
