This species is able to grow at 30 ° C and does not grow at 32 ° C. Colony characters: — Colonies on MEA after 21 d at 21 ° C reached a diameter of 40 ‒ 47 mm, velvety, non-zonate, flat, brownish black (# 28201 c); exudates absent; sporulation abundant; reverse black (# 222222). Colonies on CZ after 21 days of cultivation at 21 ° C reached a diameter of 21 ‒ 25 mm, velvety, non-zonate, flat, grayish yellowish brown (# 7 e 6 d 5 a) with a grayish yellow (# c 2 b 280) margin; exudates absent; sporulation abundant; reverse light brownish gray (# 8 e 8279). Cultivation at different temperature conditions did not affect the color and structure of the colonies. Growth temperature range: 2 ‒ 30 ° C. Optimum: 21 ° C (Fig. 2). Micromorphology: — Mycelium hyaline to brown, branched, smooth-walled, septate, 1.5 – 3.0 μm wide. Conidiophores arising from agar surface or aerial hyphae, hyaline to brown, septate, simple or branched. Conidiogenous cells phialidic, hyaline, terminal or lateral, located on fertile hyphae or arranged in complex heads, cylindrical, often constricted at the base, smooth-walled, 8.5 – 23.0 × 2.5 – 3.5 μm. Collarettes funnel-shaped, 2.0 – 4.0 μm long, opening 1.5 – 3.2 μm wide. Conidia aseptate, hyaline, smooth-walled, ovate to ellipsoidal, 3.5 – 7.0 × 2.0 – 3.5 μm. Chlamydospores absent. Teleomorph not observed (Fig. 3).	en	Iliushin, Vadim A., Kirtsideli, Irina Y., Pankova, Inna G. (2024): Cadophora arctica (Ploettnerulaceae, Helotiales), a new species from Franz Josef Land.
