            <p>Description</p>
            <p>Male. Body length 5.2 mm. Head: Eye bare, lower posterior margin not concave; frons about 0.37 of head width; frontal vitta with black pruinosity, about four times as wide as fronto­orbital plate, frontal triangle reaching anterior margin of frons; 1 pair of orbital setae, 4–5 pairs of frontal setae; ocellar seta and inner vertical seta long and strong, outer vertical seta short; fronto­orbital plate, parafacial and gena all with gray pruinosity; parafacial subequal in width to antenna; pedicel yellow in distal part, the remaining part dark black, flagellomere 1 about 3.2–3.5 times as long as broad, its apex falling short of epistomal margin by two­fifths of its length; arista haired, the longest aristal hairs shorter than its basal diameter; epistoma not protruding, vibrissal angle behind frontal angle in profile; genal height about one­fifth of eye height, dorsal part of occiput with hairs, both genal and postgenal hairs entirely black; proboscis black, prementum about three times as long as broad; palpus blackish brown, equal to length of haustellum.</p>
            <p>Thorax. Ground colour black with weak and shiny gray pruinosity, spots and vittae indistinct, prst acr in two rows, dc 1+3, ial 0+2, both apical and basal scutellar setae welldeveloped, notopleuron, anepimeron, meron and katepimeron all bare, 2 proepisternal setae, 2 proepimeral setae, 3 katepisternal setae which form an equilateral triangle.</p>
            <p>Wing. Hyaline, veins yellow, basicosta yellow, costal spine small, costa reaching the tip of M, distal part of R4+5 and M more or less divergent; calypters yellowish, lower one about twice as long as upper one; halter yellowish.</p>
            <p>Legs. Trochanters, tibiae and apex of femora yellow, the rest blackish brown, only fore tarsus brown; fore tibia with a median p; mid femur with a row of av which are seta­like (two of them strong and long), row of a in basal two­thirds, 4 pv; mid tibia with 1 ad, 1 pd; hind femur with a row of av which are sparse and long, a subapical pv, a supermedian pv, a submedian pv; hind tibia with 1 submedian av, 1 median ad, 2 seta­like pd in middle part; tarsi longer than tibiae, claws and pulvilli of normal size.</p>
            <p>Abdomen. Black with little gray pruinosity, long­oval in dorsal view, without distinct spots and vittae; sternite 1 bare, lateral lobe of sternite 5 very broad; cerci very broad and lateral margin slightly parallel in posterior view, distal 1/3 broad in profile; surstylus slender; pregonite very long, postgonite broad.</p>
            <p>Female. Unknown.</p>
            <p>Remarks</p>
            <p> This new species resembles  Coenosia nigrotincta Hennig (1961) , but can be distinguished from it by having the spots and vittae of the scutum indistinct, abdomen without distinct spots and vittae, cercal plate very broad on distal half, and surstylus very broad in profile. </p>
            <p>Etymology</p>
            <p>This specific name is from the Latin words amplus, broad, and cauda, tail, referring to the cerci which are very broad in distal half.</p>

            <p>Description</p>
            <p>Male. Body length 4.7 mm. Head: Eye bare, lower posterior margin not concave; frons about one­fourth of head width; frontal vitta with gray pruinosity, about three times as wide as fronto­orbital plate; 1 pair of orbital setae, 2 pairs of frontal setae, and a pair of fine and short setae between them; ocellar seta well­developed, subequal in length to orbital seta, inner vertical seta strong and long, about 1.5 times as long as orbital seta; fronto­orbital plate, parafacial and gena all with grayish white pruinose, parafacial extremely narrow, about one­fourth width of antenna; pedicel yellow on apical part, remaining part mostly dark brown, flagellomere 1 about twice as long as broad, acuteangled and round at apex, falling short of epistomal margin by one­third of its length, arista short plumose, the plumosity longer than its basal diameter and about as long as onefourth of the width of antenna; a short hair above vibrissa, genal groove more or less reddish brown, genal height about equal to width of antenna and eighth of eye height, dorsal part of occiput with hairs, both genal hairs and postgenal hairs entirely black; proboscis thick and large, mostly yellowish brown, with 3 pairs of teeth (two of them strong); prementum about 3.5 times as long as broad, palpus yellow in basal three­fourths, remaining part brown, palpus subequal in length to haustellum.</p>
            <p>Thorax. Ground colour black with grayish pruinosity; scutum with four black longitudinal vittae, the middle brown vitta reaching scutoscutellar suture, discontinuous brown vittae along the row of dc, 2 rows of prst acr, only 1 pair of post acr weakly developed in front of scutellum, dc 1+3, two setulae in front of prst dc, ial 0+2; notopleuron, anepimeron, meron and katepimeron all bare, 2 proepisternal setae, 2 proepimeral setae, 3 katepisternal setae which form a triangle, lower one nearer to anterior one and with 4–5 fine hairs between them; both anterior and posterior spiracles brown.</p>
            <p>Wing. Hyaline, veins brown; basicosta yellow, costal spine absent; costa reaching tip of M, R4+5 and M nearly parallel; calypters yellowish, upper one about three times as long as lower one; the former subequal in length to its fringes; halter yellowish.</p>
            <p>Legs. Fore coxa brown, mid and hind coxae and all trochanters, femora yellow, distal one­fourth of femora with a dark brown annular spot, more distinct on mid and hind legs than on fore leg, fore tibia yellow, gradually becoming brown towards apex, mid and hind femora mostly yellowish brown, hind tibia brown on distal half; fore tarsus brown, mid tarsus dark brown, hind tarsus blackish brown; lower posterior part of fore and mid coxae, and lower anterior part with dense long fringes; fore tibia with a subapical p which is strong and long; mid femur with only a submedian av strong and long, row of a (about four to five), two apical pd, pv row complete and developed; mid tibia with 1 median ad and 1 pd, the latter much longer; hind femur with complete rows of av and pv, long fringes on base of ventral surface, hind tibia with 1 submedian av, 1 median ad and 1 pd; tarsi shorter than tibiae, pulvilli moderately large.</p>
            <p>Abdomen. Dark brown (posterior part fuscous to blackish brown), with weakly gray pruinosity, without spots and vittae, posterior marginal setae of each tergite small, discal seta and lateral seta strong and long; sternite 1 with small hairs, lateral lobe of sternite 5 narrow and long; cerci and surstylus slender, yellow; apex of cerci with small hooks in profile.</p>
            <p>Female. Unknown.</p>
            <p>Type material</p>
            <p>Holotype, male, P.R. CHINA: Mt. Zhougong, Sichuan Province, 10.xi.1985 (Yan Feng) (IESNU).</p>
            <p>Paratypes, P.R. CHINA: 1 male, locality and collector as for holotype, 17.xi.1985; 1 male, Mt. E’mei, Jiulaodong, 1800–1900 m, Sichuan Province, 8.v.1957 (Keren Huang); 1 male, same locality and collector as former, 28.vii.1957; 1 male, Mt. E’mei, Xixiangchi, Sichuan Province, 17.viii.1957 (Keren Huang); 3 males, Mt. E’mei, Qingyinge, 800–1000 m, Sichuan Province, 8.ix.1957 (Keren Huang); 4 males, same locality as former, 17.iv.1957 (Zongyuan Wang); 1 male, Mt. E’mei, Jiulaodong, 1800–1900 m, Sichuan Province, 23.viii.1957 (Zongyuan Wang); 2 males, same locality as former, 21.viii.1957 (Fuxing Zhu); 1 male, Chudian, Sichuan Province, 26.vi.1957 (Fuxing Zhu); 1 male, Mt. E’mei, Xixiangchi, Sichuan Province, 21.viii.1957 (Keren Huang). All paratypes are deposited in IESNU.</p>
            <p>Remarks</p>
            <p> This new species resembles  Coenosia fengi Yang and Zhao (2002) , but can be distinguished from it by flagellomere 1 falling short of epistomal margin by one­third of its length; basal three­fourths of palpus yellow, remaining part brown; basicosta yellow; femora mostly yellow, only distal one­fourth with a dark brown annular spot; hind tibia with 1 submedian av; abdominal tergites without spots or vittae; sternite 1 with fine hairs. </p>
            <p>Etymology</p>
            <p>This specific name is from the Latin words orbis, ring, and macula, spot, referring to the distal one­fourth of the femora with a dark brown annular spot.</p>

            <p>Description</p>
            <p>Male. Body length 5.0– 5.5 mm. Head: Eye bare, lower posterior margin not concave; frons about one­third of head width; frontal vitta with grayish brown pruinosity, about three times as wide as fronto­orbital plate, frontal triangle gray, reaching front of frons; 3 pairs of frontal setae, the middle one minute, 1 pair of orbital setae; ocellar setae long, about as long as frontal width; fronto­orbital plate with grayish brown pruinosity, parafacial and gena with gray pruinosity, parafacial equal to or narrower than antennal width; antenna black, flagellomere 1 about 2.5 times as long as broad, the tip rounded, falling short of epistomal margin by half of its length; arista short haired, the longest hairs about 1.5 times as long as its basal diameter; genal height about one­fourth of eye height; dorsal part of occiput with hairs, both genal and postgenal hairs entirely black; proboscis light black, labella with two teeth on each side, and a large and blade­shaped tooth behind them; prementum about 3.5 times as long as broad; palpus yellow on basal part and brown on distal part, subequal in length to haustellum.</p>
            <p>Thorax. Ground colour black with gray pruinosity; scutum with five grayish brown vittae, the middle one reaching scutoscutellar suture and the most lateral pair indistinct, scutellum mostly with brown pruinosity, both apical and basal scutellar setae well developed, an irregular row of prst ac, two rows of hair­like post acr, dc 1+3, ial 0+1, notopleuron, anepimeron, meron and katepimeron all bare, 2 proepisternal setae, 2 proepimeral setae, 3 katepisternal setae which form a triangle, lower one nearer to anterior one and with 1–2 fine hairs between them, both anterior and posterior spiracles brown.</p>
            <p>Wing. Hyaline, veins brownish, basicosta brownish, costal spine absent, costa reaching the tip of M, R4+5 and M nearly parallel; calypters yellowish, upper one about 3 times as long as lower one; the former subequal in length to its fringes; halter yellow.</p>
            <p>Legs. Black except for trochanters and apex of femora; fore tibia with a median p; mid femur with row of av, only the median one long and strong, a row of long and strong pv on basal three­fifths, 1 ad and 2 pd preapicals, mid tibia with 1 ad, 1 pd; basal part of hind femur with 2–3 characteristic av, 1 median av, complete row of pv and middle ones strong, slender hair­like, hind tibia with 1 av, 1 ad, 1 d, 2 pd; tarsi shorter than tibiae, claws and pulvilli long and large.</p>
            <p>Abdomen. Long­oval, ground colour black with dark gray pruinescence, without distinct spots and vittae, discal and lateral setae strong and long; sternite 1 with fine hairs, sternite 5 in the middle part of the ventral surface and protruding, its lateral lobes with dense long setae; cerci and surstylus slender; cerci becoming thin toward distal part and apex slightly enlarged in posterior view.</p>
            <p>Female. Hind femur with 2 (1) strong av on basal one­third, 1 av on distal one­third, other characters as in the male.</p>
            <p>Type material</p>
            <p>Holotype, male, P.R. CHINA: Mt. Hanyuanjiaoding, Ya’an City, Sichuan Province, 1.viii.1987 (Yan Feng) (IESNU).</p>
            <p>Paratype, P.R. CHINA: 1 female, in copula and with same locality as holotype, 23.vi.1987; 1 male, Mt. Er’ lang, Ganhaizi, Sichuan Province, 24.vi.1982; 2 males, same locality as former, 23.vi.1986; 6 males and 1 female, Mt. Hanyuantuanbao, 3000 m, Sichuan Province, 10.vii.1988; 1 male, Mt. Er’lang, Sichuan Province, 10.vi. 1987; 5 males, same locality as holotype, 3500 m, 23.vi.1987. All specimens collected by Yan Feng and deposited in IESNU.</p>
            <p>Remarks</p>
            <p> This new species resembles  Coenosia ungulipardus Xue and Feng (2002) , but can be distinguished from it by the frontal triangle reaching front of frons; hind tibia with 1 av, 1 ad; abdomen without distinct spots and vittae; sternite 1 with fine hairs; cercal plate very slender in dorsal view. </p>
            <p>Etymology</p>
            <p>This specific name is from the Latin words spina, spine, and femora, femora, referring to the basal part of the hind femur which has 2–3 characteristic av.</p>
