140587CD7F2140597D8BFE45A058FF70.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis: The new species can be separated from other congeners by the dark brown forewing with six irregular white spots on the external margin of the forewings. In male genitalia, the new species is distinguished by the tripartite sclerotized distal valvae structure. Nygmia wui sp. nov. resembles N. inornata (Wileman, 1910) externally, with nearly identical forewings and hindwings patterns, and the male genitalia share the following characteristics: Uncus digitiform and sclerotized; Valvae bifurcate, with sclerotized branches; Phallus constricted medially, broader at both base and apex; Vesica bearing a recurved, sclerotized spine basally (Wang 2010). But differs in the male genitalia: i) valvae distally trifurcated with dorsal branch markedly stouter, middle branch slender with its tip bent outward, ventral branch shorter and triangular or spiniform, while in N. inornata, the distal end of the valvae is four-branched, with one branch from the ventral margin further splitting into two small processes, the other three branches are distally acuminate; and ii) saccus is triangular, while in N. inornata it is bilobed with a medial emargination.	en	Ouyang, Si-Qi, Zhang, Tong, Yu, Xia, Pan, Zhaohui (2025): Two new species and three new records of the genus Nygmia Hübner (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) from Xizang, China. 140587CD7F2340597D8BFEB2A07DF9CF.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis: Nygmia damuensis sp. nov. is reminiscent of N. quadrangularis, N. marginata, and N. insulata, but it can be clearly distinguished from its congeners by possessing a single black spot on the outer margin of the forewing (vs. five spots in N. quadrangularis, seven in N. marginata, and eight in N. insulata). The male genitalia capsules are similar, but the new species can be differentiated by the narrow uncus with an elongated base, with a small, central, ridged protuberance at its base. In N. quadrangularis, the uncus base is semicircular and slightly broader, featuring a larger triangular central ridge at the base. Nygmia marginata exhibits a broadly rounded uncus base with a smaller triangular central ridge, while in N. insulata, the uncus base is wider, with prominently convex and enlarged lateral sides, and the central ridged protuberance is nearly bell-shaped at its base. In the new species, the cornuti cluster on the middle of the vesica are elliptical, and the sclerotized plates are semi-elliptical located at the distal end and upturned. The vesica of N. quadrangularis bears a pyramidal spinule cluster and a semi-oblong sclerotized plate, both connected at the middle portion, while in N. marginata bears a semi-elliptical spinule cluster in the middle portion and a tongue-like membranous structure at the distal end containing a semi-elliptical sclerotized plate and in N. insulata bears a single semicircular spine cluster distally at the phallus membrane, followed by a semicircular sclerotized plate.	en	Ouyang, Si-Qi, Zhang, Tong, Yu, Xia, Pan, Zhaohui (2025): Two new species and three new records of the genus Nygmia Hübner (Lepidoptera: Erebidae: Lymantriinae) from Xizang, China.
