The males from Mindanao differ from the types of Mirolotmia dinocephala Gorochov, 2021 from New Guinea by the pseudepiphallic lophi [posterolateral epiphallic lobe] in lateral view not pointing dorsad at the apex (Fig. 3) and the frons in lateral view less protruding anteriorly and not surpassing scapes (Figs 2A, 2B, 2D, 2E). There are no observable and consistent differences in the pseudepiphallic parameres [ectoparameres]: in ventral view appears flattened, complex with both membranous and sclerotized parts; not surpassing pseudepiphallic lophi and posteromedial lophi; its proximal (main) sclerite (pms) broadly triangular with fold at middle; its apical (medial) sclerite (as) with fold and inner parts membranous and apex subacute (Fig. 3B, 3D, 3E).

FW: The harp area is consistent among males; very large with 4 oblique veins (2 strongly curved and sinuous long posterior veins and 2 sub-straight [curved at posterior end] small anterior vein). The shape of the mirror (d1) varies among the males from Mindanao, ranging from simply divided into half by dividing vein or into numerous smaller cells (Figs 2F, 2G, 4).

Ecology. The species in Mindanao was found in grassland areas near urban areas (Fig. 5); the males call at the opening of burrow under trees (Fig. 6).

Type locality. INDONESIA: Irian Jaya Barat [= West Papua]: Waigeo Island, environs of Saporkren Village .

Distribution. INDONESIA (West Papua); PHILIPPINES (Mindanao Island: Misamis Occidental, Agusan del Sur) [new locality records].

Calling song (Fig. 7). The first calling song from Agusan del Sur consists of an echeme made up of 8–9 syllables. The echeme duration is 0.11± 0.01 s (0.10– 0.12 s), and the interval between consecutive echemes is 0.15± 0.02 s (0.13– 0.20 s). The average syllable duration is 7.2±0.8 ms (5.5–8.4 ms), the average interval between syllables is 6.0±0.8 ms (4.6–8.1 ms), and the average syllable period is 13.2±0.5 ms (11.6–14.0 ms). The call spectrum is made up of a harmonic series, with the energy peaking at the fundamental frequency of 6.25 kHz. The second and third harmonic peaks are 12.32±0.18 kHz (12.25–12.75 kHz) and 18.61±0.23 kHz (18.25–18.75 kHz) .

The second calling song from Mount Malindang consists of a continuous trill. The average syllable duration is 11.5±0.2 ms (11.1–11.9 ms), the average interval between syllables is 6.5±0.2 ms (6.0–7.1 ms), and the average syllable period is 18.0±0.1 ms (17.7–18.5 ms). The energy peaking at the fundamental frequency of 4.77±0.04 kHz (4.59–4.78 kHz). The second and third harmonic peaks are 9.28 kHz and 18.51±0.08 kHz (18.47–18.66 kHz).

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/317087C9FB59FFC6FF63F88A7F5FFD1E	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
