Ellipticae (Table 1). During these field visits, seven populations of T. cachemiriana were studied from Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (Table 1, Fig. 1). For phylogenetic analyses, one accession was sampled from two distinct populations in North Kashmir (Gurez valley, Bandipora district, BSI 141608, BSI 141703), Central Kashmir (Budgam district BSI 141701, BSI 141702) and South Kashmir (Anantnag district, BSI 141606, BSI 141607). One accession of T. cachemiriana was sampled from Ladakh (BSI 141562). T. emodi (two accessions BSI 141603, BSI 141500) was sampled from J & K and Uttarakhand. Of the two accessions of T. gracilis sampled, one was collected from J & K (BSI 141605) and the other, sampled from Pakistan (Table 2, EC 829799, PI 540440) was procured as seeds from United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, The Western Regional Plant Introduction Station (USDA-ARS-WRPIS) Pullman. One accession of T. emodi var. fimbriata (BSI 141563) was collected from Himachal Pradesh. T. griffithii (BSI 141599) was sampled from J & K (Mittal et al. 2023 b). Two accessions of newly described species, T. kargilensis Mittal, Dangi & Ingle ([2023: 120] AHMA 034145 and AHMA 034147) were collected from Ladakh (Mittal et al. 2023 a). Despite repeated efforts T. podperae could not be sampled for molecular analyses.	en	Mittal, Khushboo, Dangi, Rakhee, Ingle, Priyanka, Malik, Akhtar H. Foenum – graecum known to occur in India were sampled either from Indian floristic regions or procured as seeds from Gene Bank (Table 2).	en	Mittal, Khushboo, Dangi, Rakhee, Ingle, Priyanka, Malik, Akhtar H.
