Head with pair of triangular black patches; eyes grey to black; face usually with four roundish black patches along fore margin, sides of frontoclypeal area black; pronotum brown at middle part and hind margin, with pair of dumbbell-shaped black patches along fore margin and two black patches on each side; basal triangles and midline or tip of scutellum blackish. Head narrower than pronotum, vertex slightly produced in the middle, coronal suture distinct. Face with lorum large, anteclypeus long. Fore wing with 1 st and 3 rd apical cells large and broad, 2 nd apical cell narrow, 4 th apical cell broad, not reaching apex of fore wing, but longer than half length of 3 rd apical cell. Hind wing venation usual for Erythroneurini, RA vein distinct.</p><p>Abdominal apodemes well sclerotized, broad but short, usually expanded dorsad, not exceeding 3 rd sternite. Anal tube short, 10 th abdominal segment well sclerotized and ornamented with numerous spines, without anal tube appendage.</p><p>Male genitalia: Pygofer moderately sclerotized, pygofer side usually with membranous dorsal and ventral margin, with many short slender setae at cephalo-ventral angle of lobe and at hind margin; dorsal appendage well sclerotized, movably articulated, usually knife-like; ventral appendage seldom present. Subgenital plate surpassing hind margin of pygofer side, broadened subbasally and narrowing towards apex, apex rounded or tapering; with a row or rows of marginal stout setae from subbase to subapex, with 3-4 macrosetae at about midlength or subapex of the plate. Style usually with long and foot-like apical part and quite large preapical lobe. Connective lamellate, with distinct manubrium and central lobe. Mitjaevia asymmetrica Cao &amp; Zhang sp. nov.</p><p>(Figs 1, 15a)</p><p>Description: Ground color orange-brown, with black patches, apical 1/3 of anteclypeus black. Scutellum with black vertical line broader at lower part and tapering towards upper part (Fig. 15a).</p><p>Abdominal apodemes reached posterior of 3 rd sternite (Fig. 1j).</p><p>Pygofer side with dorsal and ventral margin membranous; dorsal appendage with apex tapering, ventral margin protruded near middle part; without ventral appendage (Figs 1a, b). Subgenital plate forming tapering extension apically; lateral margin with a row of enlarged stout setae from subbase to middle part; with 3 macrosetae in middle area (Fig. 1d). Style with apex short, foot-like (Fig. 1e). Tip of the scutellum dark (Fig. 15d).</p><p>Pygofer side with distal central area and distal ventral margin membranous; dorsal appendage with apex tapering and slightly hooked, ventral margin protruding near middle part; ventral appendage quite small, fingerlike, slightly sinuated, extended from distal ventral margin of lobe (Fig. 4a). Subgenital plate rounded apically, lateral margin with irregular rows of short stout setae subbasally, forming one row from middle part to apex; with 3 macrosetae in subapical area (Fig. 4c). Style with apex quite broad, foot-like (Fig. 4d). Aedeagal shaft short, dorsal margin of apex slightly expanded in lateral view, ventral margin with triangular flaky extension, apex rounded in ventral view; preatrium longer than shaft; gonopore apical (Figs 4e, f).</p><p>Measurement: Length of male 3.23mm.</p><p>Material examined: Holotype: ♂, China: Yunnan Prov., Lijiang City, Xinzhu, 2300m, 15 xi 1999, Medicago sativa L., coll. Middle line of scutellum brown, which broad at upper part and tapering towards lower part (Fig. 15f).</p><p>Abdominal apodemes nearly reaching posterior margin of 3 rd sternite (Fig. 6i).</p><p>Pygofer side with caudal margin and distal ventral margin membranous; dorsal appendage triangular, protrusion on ventral margin indistinct; without ventral appendage (Figs 6a, b). Subgenital plate rounded apically, lateral margin with a row of stout setae from subbase to apex, the basal seta obviously enlarged; with 3 macrosetae in subapical area (Fig. 6d). Style with apex foot-like (Fig. 6e). Mitjaevia lamelliformis Cao &amp; Zhang sp. nov.</p><p>(Figs 7, 15h)</p><p>Description: Ground color yellow-whitish, with black patches. Middle line of scutellum brown, sides of which are parallel. Patches on vertex nearly oval, basal part far away from each other (Fig. 15h).</p><p>Pygofer side with dorsal and ventral margin membranous; dorsal appendage narrow, apex tapering and slightly curved, ventral margin protruded subbasally; without ventral appendage (Figs 7a, b). Subgenital plate rounded apically; lateral margin with group of short stout setae subbasally forming one row from subbase to subapex, distal disc scattered with some small rigid setae; with 3 macrosetae in subapical area (Fig. 7d). Style with apical part triangular, apex curly, subapical inner margin produced; preapical lobe finger-like (Fig. 7e). Aedeagal shaft quite thick, moderately long, curved caudad, lateral sides of apex with pair of lamellate processes, base of which is broad and apex slender, ventral side with pair of fin-shaped processes; preatrium slightly shorter than shaft; gonopore large, terminal (Figs 7g, h).</p><p>Measurement: Length of male 3.20mm.</p><p>Material examined: Holotype: ♂, China: Tibet, Tongmai, 2050m, 26 vii 1978, coll. Li Fasheng (CAU).</p><p>Diagnosis: This new species is most similar to M. wangwushana Song, Li &amp; Xiong, 2011 . Subgenital plate rounded apically; lateral margin with two rows of short stout setae subbasally, forming one row from subbase to apex; with 3 macrosetae in subapical area (Fig. 8b). Style with apex foot-like (Fig. 8c). Style with apical part slender, apex foot-like (Fig. 11c). Patches on vertex rounded (Fig. 15o).</p><p>Abdominal apodemes not reaching posterior margin of 3 rd sternite (Fig. 14i).</p><p>Pygofer side with ventral margin membranous; dorsal appendage crescent-shaped, ventral margin with two small protrusions; without ventral appendage (Fig. 14a). Subgenital plate rounded apically, lateral margin with irregular rows of short stout setae subbasally and one row from subbase to apex, becoming sparse towards apex; with 3–4 macrosetae in the middle area (Fig. 14c). Style with apex foot-like, preapical lobe convex on upper margin (Fig. 14d).
