Species. T. wygodzinskyi Lent

Etymology. His study revealed that this was a new species, similar to Triatoma maculata (Erichson, 1848), which we shall describe below, dedicating it to our friend and renowned hemipterologist Dr. Peter Wygodzinsky, of the Institute of Regional Medicine, Tucumán, Argentina (Lent 1951c: 349).

Original citation. “Seu estudo revelou-se tratar-se de uma nova espécie, afim de Triatoma maculata (Erichson, 1848), que descrevemos a seguir, dedicando-a ao nosso amigo e conhecido hemipterologista Dr. Peter Wygodzinsky, do Instituto de Medicina Regional, Tucumán, Argentina ” (Lent 1951c: 349).
