Species. T. arthurneivai Lent and Martins

Etymology. Dedicated to Dr. Arthur Neiva, who was the first to study this important group of hematophagous insects together, and to whom we owe some fundamental studies on the subject (Lent & Martins 1940: 877).

Original citation. “Dedicada ao Dr. Arthur Neiva, o primeiro a estudar, em conjunto, tão importante grupo de insetos hematófagos e a quem devemos trabalhos básicos sobre o assunto” (Lent & Martins 1940: 877).
