Material examined. NMV J55267, 2 males (cl 11.5 mm, pcl 7.4 mm; cl 12.6 mm, pcl 8.3 mm), Imperieuse L23 east transect, 17°35.982–38.574'S, 118°59.076– 119 °01.260'E, 222–319 m, Sherman sled, SS05/2007/63 (acq. 002), 16 Jun 2007.

Remarks. The specimens agree well with the type description of the female holotype (Macpherson 1994). The only intact cheliped (8.3 mm male; cheliped length 4.7 pcl) exhibits slight gape between the fingers, with a small blunt proximal tooth on the occlusal margin of the pollex.

Distribution. New Caledonia, Taiwan, Tonga, French Polynesia (Marquesas Islands), and now from Western Australia; 95– 487 m.
