Type locality. West European Basin (50°43.5’N, 17°51.7’W), 4632 m .

Type material. Holotype USNM 850226 (1 spm + 1 slide with sclerites); paratypes USNM 850227 (1 spm + 1 slide with sclerites/radula), USNM 850229 (1 spm + 1 slide with radula and jaws + 1 slide with sclerites).

Remarks. One lot of the USNM collection (850230) is labeled as a possible paratype, but it was not originally designated by Scheltema (1985: 516) so it has no type status.
