Type locality. Off Ivory Coast (5°12’N, 3°58’W), West Africa, 200–300 m.
Type material. Holotype USNM 760632; paratype USNM 760633 (1 spm).
Remarks. This species was described based only on these two specimens. The radula and the sclerites were extracted from paratype USNM 760633 (Scheltema, 1976: figs. 1, 2, pl. 1a–h), but neither slides, pin stubs or the remaining body parts of this specimen were located in the collection of the USNM.
