Material examined. St. 65: grab sampling, 9°25.998´S, 12°59.976´E; 1 specimen, 4.5 mm. St. BE11: grab sampling, 15°07.734´S, 12°06.510´E; 3 specimens, 4–10 mm. Depth: 46– 84 m.

Diagnosis. Two paired infradental papillae are at the apex of the jaw. Four oral papillae are arranged in a continuous series with none of them as broad as the two others together. There are two small tentacle scales and broadly oval dorsal arm plates. The next from ventralmost arm spine ends in an acicular tip. The disc is fully scaled dorsally.

Distribution. Northern West Africa: Gambia and southwards, southern West Africa: Angola (15°S, previously known only as far south as 13°S) and northwards, 10–84 m (previously known at depths down to 67 m).
