Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, former Yugoslavia (Yu et al. 2012), Belgium (Wesmael 1835 as Perilitus cinctellus, and as P. fuscipes; Szépligeti 1904; Yu et al. 2012), Germany, Hungary, Sweden (Szépligeti 1904; Yu et al. 2012), Czech Republic (Lozan et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012), Europe (Huddleston 1980), Far East of Russia, Japan, Korea (Papp 2003b; Yu et al. 2012), France (Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013), Greece (Papp 2003b; Yu et al. 2012), Italy (Cobelli 1905; Yu et al. 2012), Madeira (van Achterberg and Aguiar 2009; Yu et al. 2012), New Zealand (Huddleston 1986; Yu et al. 2012), Norway (Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg and Hansen 2013), UK (Marshall 1887 as M. tenellus; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013).
Host records. Meteorus cinctellus is recorded as the parasitoid on the leaf roller moth Gypsonoma neglectana Duponchel ( Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) (Silvestri 1917; Yu et al. 2012; Stigenberg and Hansen 2013). It is also reared from Crambus uliginosellus Zeller, Eudonia angustea (Curtis), Nomophila noctuella (Denis & Schiffermüller), Pyrausta purpuralis (Linnaeus), Scoparia ambigualis (Treitschke), Eudonia truncicolella (Stainton) ( Lepidoptera: Crambidae) (Stigenberg 2013; Stigenberg and Shaw 2013).
