Genera of Simonellinae:
Cylistella Simon, 1901
Erica Peckham & Peckham, 1892
(= Apatita Mello-Leitão, 1933) Fluda Peckham & Peckham, 1892
(= Keyserlingella Peckham & Peckham, 1892) Synemosyna Hentz, 1846
(= Simonella Peckham & Peckham, 1885)
Note: If Galiano had synonymized Simonella before 1961, or if there had been sufficient uses of Synemosyninae in the last 50 years, then ICZN articles 40.2 or 23.9 would have permitted us to prefer Synemosyninae . However, we have found fewer than 15 uses of Synemosyninae, and thus we use Simonellini in accord with article 40.1. This has the benefit of honouring Eugène Simon, whose name is celebrated otherwise only by Simonurius among the salticid genera.
