Vinnius Simon, 1902

Note. The unident Vinnius was not traditionally included among amycines, since Simon’s classification was primarily based on retrolateral dentition. Although our analyses did not count on DNA sequences of this group, Vinnius, as well as the unident Frespera and Arnoliseus, are here also considered members of this group, based on the remaining common features. The position of Macutula, a ground-dweller with 3rd leg longest, has also been uncertain since its original description. Here we also include this genus among the amycines and wait until future works clarify its relationships.
