Replaced name:— Dracaena robusta Ridl. (1912: 42), nom. illeg., non D. robusta B.S. Williams (1870: 193), non D. robusta hort ex Baker (1875: 540).

Type:— MALAY PENINSULA. Selangor: Sempang Mines track in thick forest, April 1911, S.coll. 15571 (holotype K000292067!). (Figure 2)

Etymology:— The specific epithet is derived from the prefix neo -, meaning new, and robusta, the epithet of Ridley (1912).

Distribution:— Malaysia.
