Osmia (Platosmia) alchata Warncke, 1990: 489 . Type material: Holotype ♀, “ 20 km SO Harran/Urfa, 23.5.1983 ” (Turkey), Oberösterreichisches Landesmuseum Linz.

Distribution. From southernmost Turkey to central Syria and eastwards to northern Iran. Pollen hosts. Possibly oligolectic on Reseda (Resedaceae) and possibly also closely related genera: all eight pollen loads (3 localities, 3 countries) analysed so far exclusively consisted of Reseda pollen. Nesting biology. Several females were observed to nest in a limestone stone of about 0.5m height (Warncke, 1990). Nesting material unknown.
