DS “Nautile”, dive 1774, Kulo Lasi, Futuna, 14°56.5472’S, 177°15.0061’W, 1418 m, 11 September 2010, slurp gun, bottle 4, 2 specimens, MNHN-IU-2014-12698; dive 1776, Kulo Lasi, Futuna, 14°55.3514’S, 177°15.577’W, 1406 m, 12 September 2010, slurp gun, bottle 3, 1 specimen, MNHN-IU-2014- 12699.

Distribution. Previously only known from hydrothemal vents on the Lau Basin, North Fiji Basin and Nifonea vent site off Vanuatu, at depths of 1740–2750 m (Zelnio & Hourdez 2009; Komai & Tsuchida 2015).

Remarks. Alvinocaris komaii was observed and sampled in or at the immediate vicinity of a bush of the siboglinid tube worm Arcovestia ivanovi (Fig. 6A).
