conicus species­group

Diagnosis. — Male. Metasoma with lateral tergal processes, which have pair of non­conspicuous lateral depressions, with tubercle, which has pit on the top and tuft of hairs.

Comments. — This group has the most typical tergal processes in Dissomphalus, with tubercle, which resembles a navel, reason for the name of the genus. The group contains eight species, ranging from Costa Rica to southern Brazil, including some Caribbean islands.
