Measurements. BL = 6.0 mm, BW = 1.1 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.22: 1.14, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.12: 1.20: 1.29, HW/HL = 1.12, HEL/HTL = 10.36, PW/PL = 1.03, EW/EL = 1.18, ESL/EL = 0.48.

Description of female. Female with first four segments of foretarsus simple, not dilated; tergite VIII with basal ridge complete, slightly sinuate, with three long setae on each side; sternite VIII with basal ridge complete, nearly straight, with two long setae on each side; tergite X (Fig. 6-1 H) with basal side broadly and shallowly concave, apical portion nearly evenly converged to apex.

Distribution. Quedius oros Smetana is known only from high mountains in central Sichuan Province at altitudes between 2735 m and 4100 m. The examined specimens from Wolong National Nature Reserve, Dengsheng Conservation Station were collected from mushrooms by hand near a creek, others were collected using pitfall traps.
