Quedius (Raphirus) zetes Smetana, 2012

Smetana, 2012a: 63 ( Quedius; subgenus Raphirus; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Xiangcheng, 2700 m, 29°00'N 99°46'E).

Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province: 1 ♂, Tengchong County, Beihai, Beihai wetland, grass, 1732 m, 4. VI. 2006, coll. Hongbin Liang.

Measurements. BL = 6.5 mm, BW = 1.4 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.17: 1.48, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.15: 1.47: 1.18, HW/HL = 1.01, HEL/HTL = 6.83, PW/PL = 1.00, EW/EL = 1.01, ESL/EL = 0.50.

Distribution. The present specimen of Quedius zetes Smetana was collected at an altitude of 1732 m in western Yunnan Province. So far it was only reported from western Sichuan at an altitude of 2700 m. Both localities belong to the Hengduan Mountain Range in southwestern China. This species may be widely distributed in this high mountainous region.
