Material examined. CHINA: Hubei Province: 1 ♂, Shennongjia National Nature Reserve, Guanmen Mountain, 14. IX. 2005, coll. Yongjie Chen.
Measurements. BL = 6.9 mm, BW = 1.5 mm, HL/PL/EL = 1.00: 1.16: 1.67, HW/PW/EW/AW = 1.00: 1.14: 1.42: 1.19, HW/HL = 1.10, HEL/HTL = 7.45, PW/PL = 1.08, EW/EL = 0.93, ESL/EL = 0.56.
Distribution. Quedius jindrai Smetana is distributed in the central part of China (Hubei, Shaanxi and Sichuan Province) at altitudes from 1600 m to 2000 m. The examined specimen was collected by hand at the edge of a creek.
