Comments. This species is similar to S. fuscescens, S. amazonicus sp. nov. and S. equatoriensis sp. nov. in having a reasonably high scutum, about half height of mesopleuron, slender legs with femora slightly enlarged and elongate pterostigma, but it can be easily distinguished from the cited species by the scutum with a dark bow on anterior portion and by characters of the male terminalia.
