Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (Florida) to Brazil (Ceará and from Pernambuco to Santa Catarina) (Christoffersen 1998; Pachelle et al. 2016).
Previous records. São Sebastião (Amaral et al. 2010; Terossi & Mantelatto 2014); locality not mentioned (Christoffersen 1998).
Remarks. Studies with this species on São Paulo coast are rare and include the zoea I morphology (Terossi & Mantelatto 2014). Sequences accession number (GenBank): CCDB 3842 - 16S (KU312978).
