Remarks. The species is widespread throughout West and Southwest Africa (Schoolmeesters 2019). The adult specimens of GBI were collected by CT and LT (e.g. Figs. 2b, c) in dry open forests (e.g. Canchungo—Caió, Bissorã—Binar, Xitole, Mampatá—Cumbijã, Banhinda) or moist primary forest (Jemberem) (e.g. Fig. 2f). See also the remarks under E. variolosa . The species was frequently found in the flowers of a Zingiberaceae at Kindu (Burgeon 1946). Biodiversity information (e.g. abundance, habitat preference) was provided for GHA by Joly (2018). The species, like others of this genus, seems to be crepuscular or even nocturnal (e.g. Ricchiardi & Gyll 2009). It is a new species record for CAC, OIO, QUN and TOB Administrative Regions of Guinea-Bissau.
