Genus Campsiura Hope, 1831

The genus is distributed throughout the Afrotropical, Oriental and Palaearctic Regions (Krajcik 2008a). Antoine (2006) recognized four subgenera, providing an identification key for them. In the Afrotropical Region there are sixteen recognized species within two subgenera ( Eucampsiura Mikšić, 1987 and Macroma Gory & Percheron, 1833) (Schoolmeesters 2019). There is one species in the subgenus Macroma recorded for Guinea-Bissau (Brivio 1958).
