Genus Morphna Shelford, 1910

Type species: Epilampra maculata Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1865 . By subsequent designation.

Note. The genus Morphna originally included four species from South and South-East Asia (Shelford 1910, p. 6, 7): Epilampra amplipennis Walker, E. plana Brunner von Wattenwyl, E. maculata Brunner von Watenwyl and E. badia Brunner von Wattenwyl (= E. dotata Walker). E. maculata was designated as the type species by Hebard (1930). The male genitalia of M. dotata were described and illustrated by Anisyutkin & Gorochov (2001).

According to Beccaloni (2007), there are 12 species in the genus Morphna: M. amplipennis (Walker), M. auriculata (Brunner von Wattenwyl), M. badia (Brunner von Wattenwyl), M. clypeata Anisyutkin & Gorochov, M. decolyi (Bolivar), M. dotata (Walker), M. humeralis (Bruijning), M. imperatoria (Stål), M. maculata (Brunner von wattenwyl), M. moloch (Rehn), M. plana (Brunner von Wattenwyl) and M. pustulata (Hanitsch) .
