Acrocera laeta Gerstäcker

Acrocera laeta Gerstäcker, 1856: 352 . ♂ holotype. Type deposition: MNHU. Type locality: Italy, Sardinia. Remarks. Acrocera laeta was described from the male holotype collected on Sardinia (Italy) and has also been recorded from the former USSR (SET, TC (Ge), KZ) (Nartshuk 1988). The species is characterised by entirely orange-yellow tergites (except medially on tergite 1), and might represent a very pale form of A. orbiculus .
